How it works
Like Kickstarter, for your life
Kickstarter collects money. Project Dreambox collects the people, resources and funding a dream really needs, with no deadlines and no all-or-nothing pressure.
Share your dream
Give it a title, a short description and a category, plus a cover photo or a video of you telling the world what you dream of. Start it as a private draft, and publish when you're ready.
Set your goals
Break the dream into the things it needs. Every goal you check off moves your completion percentage, until the dream comes true.
Grow your circle
Share your link, post updates, and let people follow, comment, offer help and apply to join your team.
Six kinds of goals
Most dreams need more than money. Mix any of these on one dream.
Team member
A role someone can fill. Describe the role and its responsibilities, and people can apply.
e.g. A bass player who can rehearse twice a week
Resource
Anything you need that money alone can't find: a place, a thing, or an answer to a problem.
e.g. A rehearsal space, a used laptop, a ride to treatment
Funding
Money for the parts that cost money. Break it into a budget with line items, and track how much has been raised.
e.g. $3,000 to record our first EP
Expertise
Advice, mentoring or know-how from someone who's done it before. Experts can offer advice in a message.
e.g. A music producer to review our demos
Task
Something that needs doing. Helpers can offer to take it on.
e.g. Book three rehearsals
Milestone
A moment that marks real progress along the way.
e.g. Play our first live show
Progress
How progress is measured
Your dream's percentage is the share of its goals that are checked off. Every goal counts the same, whatever its type. When every goal is done, the page says “This dream came true!” and everyone who helped earns a Stardust bonus.

Helping someone else's dream
Follow
Follow a dream to get its updates in your notifications.
Apply or offer
Apply for a team role, offer a resource, or offer to help with a task. It opens a message to the dreamer.
Share
Pass the dream's link to someone who might help. Every share brings it closer.
Add what you can offer to your profile, from a spare room to video editing, so dreamers can find you.
Rewards
Earn Stardust for helping
When you help with someone's goal, the dreamer confirms it and you earn Stardust. It shows on your profile with your badges, so everyone can see the dreams you've helped. Nobody can award Stardust to themselves.

| Resource | +30 |

Drafts and publishing
Dreams start private. Only you and your team see a draft until you press Publish to public.

Gallery
Add photos that tell the story of your dream, each with its own caption.
News feed and notifications
Post updates with a photo or video. Followers are notified, and can comment, reply and like.

Teams
Accept people as moderators, managers or admins, so they can post updates and help manage goals.
